There actually are Atheist discussion groups. They usually don’t call themselves Atheists, but use other terms such as Free Thinkers, which is where I got my username (although I don’t belong to any such group).
Better yet how about a group called “Ask Theology Questions in the Psychology Section.”
It might be more fun that the “Ask Automotive Repair Questions in the Pets Section.” They have all lost perspective on what it means to belong there.
Because the fundies are like moles and can’t stand the concept that someone would have more freedom than they.
Fundie spies would then pose as thinkers and do what they do now. Ask a question in order to rant.
For me, not believing in a god is a freedom from labels, so I don’t accept the term Atheist – that only is the Theist’s term fro those who are not them.
In fact, at least for me, it’s an absence of believe in the Zen/Tao sense, and so no labels are needed – once they are there, that is no longer describing what it really is.
“That which is called the Tao is not the Tao”, similarly, those that are called Atheists are still part of a system that labels them according to their relationship to the same God.
This drives my Catholic GF insane even if it is perfectly obvious to me btw

why should the atheists be shut into their own group? do they not have the right to an opinion about things? Just because you dont always agree with what one might say? You know, many atheists go through life having to listen to christian people and other religious people ’spread the word’ even go door to door in attempt to invade your home with the mumbo jumbo they peddle…so why is it that when an atheist wants to voice an opinion rude people like you want to send them off into a separate forum? i am neither atheist or any religion who has problems with people who cant find blind faith in fairy tales, so i feel like my opinion is bias and just….i feel like if we have to read your dumb question, then you should read comments that you find dumb also….its how the real world works….besides most people dont like an atheist only because its hard to defend your own religion against one, they make you see all the holes in the faulty belief systems that so many people have come to rely upon….and without the shepherd the flock is lost…..
