I Want To Write Children’s Stories And I Want To Know What Format Publishers Want To See.?

I am ready to start writing and illustrating children’s stories that I intend to try to get published, but I want to know what format publishing companies want or prefer. For example, should I type up the story in a word processing program and have the pictures separate? Should I do them on the same paper or have them separate, but matched so they line up right myself or do they prefer to do all the layout? I would also appreciate any advice from experienced writers, early childhood educators, or anyone who works in publishing.

When I write, it is always depressing. Does this say something about me? I do it because I feel that people can relate to my writing more that way but maybe I am letting out something that I do not realise.

I was just wondering, when in a ‘general copnversation’ in a novel what is “too boring”
I dont like reading things like this:
“hi”
“hello”
how were your holiday’s?”
good, you?”
yes good.”
that was a bad example but what stuff should I inclued… or if i need something like thaat how can it be interesting?
