I’m taking AP English 11 this coming fall, and my teacher gave us summer work. I need to find an example of an analogy in literature. I can’t think of a single book or story that has one off the top of my head.

lol well obviously its gonna be poetry(for me its pre1914, duffy and armitage) and a novel (for me its of mice and men)
my tip for you is to not stress out, make sure you’ve read over your notes on each poem-inclusing structure,language and feelings/attitudes. Also have you been doing timed essays? they do help! Also remember to use as many poetic devices AS POSSIBLE. And also dont ramble on about everything you know in your essay. Make sure you’ve done a plan before. (spend about 10 minutes on that) And also make sure whatevr your writing has something to do with the question. For example if the theme is about Love, and your writing about structure, you’d write something like (lets just say the poem had a sonnet structure) The poem has a sonnet structure, and sonnets are often used traditionally for love poems etc
